SDG-UP was established in 2020 to create a platform through which Japanese universities determined to work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals could collaborate. Through SDG-UP, the United Nations University and Japanese member universities work together to contribute to the sustainable development of Japan and the world, strengthening SDGs-related initiatives and human resource development across higher education as well as stakeholder partnerships.
Activities
SDP-UP holds sessions on themes such as SDGs-driven curricula, university evaluation and accountability, university management, and sustainable campuses . The academic platform also organizes workshops that create opportunities to discuss issues directly with experts from various fields.
