Nankai University Vice-President for International Affairs Naijia Guan paid a courtesy visit to Tohoku University President Susumu Satomi on July 12. They exchanged opinions on future exchanges in the fields of medicine, engineering and information sciences. They also discussed the possibility of a university-level academic exchange agreement.
Executive Vice President for General Affairs and International Relations Toshiya Ueki, Professor Hiroyuki Eto of the Graduate School of International Culture Studies and Professor Toshiaki Yanagihara of the Graduate School/Faculty of Arts and Letters sat in on the meeting.
During their visit, the Chinese delegation toured the University Archives, the lecture hall where scholar Lu Xun once studied, as well as the Graduate School/Faculty of Arts and Letters, the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies, the School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Information Sciences.
