[Call for participation]RENKEI climate change/energy workshop 4-6 December 2024 hosted by Kyushu University

The Japan-UK University Consortium RENKEI*, of which our university is a member, will hold a workshop on the theme of climate change/energy at Kyushu University as follows. In addition to various discussions and presentation opportunities, there will also be chances to compete for grants such as the Poster Award, Pitch Award, and Seed Funding Grant. We encourage those interested in future Japan-UK joint research or those interested in climate change/energy and networking with researchers from consortium member universities to participate.

Travel expenses (transportation, accommodation, and daily allowance) will be covered by the Tohoku University Global Engagement Division. However, travel expenses will not be covered for participants coming from outside Japan.

Eligibility:
Early Career Researchers (ECRs): Ph.D. students or post-docs at Tohoku University
Senior or mid-career researchers: Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors (Able to supervise or support ECRs from their institutions)

Although the application guidelines mention “Travel Support for JP Researchers,” travel expenses (transportation, accommodation, and daily allowance) for participants affiliated with Tohoku University will be covered by the Tohoku University Global Engagement Division (except for those participating from outside Japan). The deadlines and application methods mentioned in the application guidelines are for Tohoku University Global Engagement Division to apply to the British Council and are not the deadlines or application methods for participants affiliated with Tohoku University. Please follow the deadlines and application methods mentioned in this notification. If there are many applicants, we may conduct a selection process.
