On Friday, June 6, 2014, Minister Consellor Eduy Mabuza of the South Africa Embassy visited Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki and Executive Vice President Yoshinari Akeno to exchange opinions on cooperative research and the exchanges of personnel.
Beginning with the University of KwaZulu-Natal (a Foreign Institutions Academic Exchange Agreement partner) and the Science Faculty of Rhodes University (a Graduate School of Science Academic Exchange Agreement partner), our University has many deep ties in Physics and Chemistry with South Africa.
During her visit, Consellor Mabuza expressed her hope to have more research exchange in the materials science field in the future. Following these discussions, the Consellor visited the research laboratories of Prof. Toshio Hattori (International Research Institute of Disaster Science) and Prof. Tetsuya Kodama (Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering.)
