On October 13th, 2015, Bernard Delmas, President of Nihon Michelin Tire Co., Ltd. visited Tohoku University to give a special lecture aimed at students as a part of the university’s France Week. Making further use of this valuable opportunity, President Delmas and Frank Debouck, Director of École Centrale de Lyon paid a courtesy visit on President Susumu Satomi.
President of Nihon Michelin since 2007, President Delmas used fluent Japanese while introducing his company’s collaborations with École Centrale de Lyon to President Satomi and Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki. Additionally, they discussed student internship programs, as well as their wish to carry out collaborative research and strengthen their bonds with Tohoku University.
