On November 6th, 2015, Liu Qijin, Deputy Chairperson of University Affairs Committee, South China University of Technology (Guangzhou, China) and her party paid a courtesy visit on Executive Vice President Kimio Hanawa. During this visit, Deputy Chairperson Qijin gave an introduction to South China University of Technology, and discussed the status of their global exchanges. Additionally, they discussed student exchanges and cooperative research, as well as the possibility of exchanges between the two universities.
After the meeting Deputy Chairperson Qijin and her party visited Professor Jiro Akita, Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Management and Professor Yoshio Kanazaki, where they discussed exchanges in the field of Economics.
Prior to the meetings, Deputy Chairperson Qijin and her party visited the University Archives and the Lecture Hall Where Lu Xun studied, where Associate Professor Hideaki Nagata told stories of when Lu Xun studied in Sendai.
