On December 18th, 2015, Chuan-Neng Lin, Director-general of the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs (Taiwan), Ho-Chung Fu, President of Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC), and Yie-Zu Hu, Vice President and General Director of Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), (which has concluded Department Level Agreements with Tohoku University), visited Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki at Tohoku University. The group was visiting Tohoku University to conclude a new department level agreement between MIRDC and Tohoku University, and made use of this opportunity to meet EVP Ueki.
Those present shared their hopes that this new agreement will lead to further exchanges between Tohoku University and Taiwan’s research facilities, and that these exchanges would not just be researcher exchanges, but that the theoretical research carried out at Tohoku University would lead to further social contributions as well.
