On October 12, School of Engineering Vice Director Sergey Golikov, Professor S. Minaev, and Professor K. Shtym from Far Eastern Federal University (Vladivostok, Russia) paid a courtesy visit on Tohoku University Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki.
Vice Director Golikov was visiting Sendai to attend the Thirteenth International Conference on Flow Dynamics, which was hosted by the Institute of Fluid Science, and made use of this opportunity to have a brief meeting.
At this meeting, Professor Kaoru Maruta, leader of a Russian Government Mega Grant joint laboratory with Professor Minaev on Energy Technology at FEFU was also in attendance, where they discussed future plans to develop and strengthen education and research between the two universities.
