We have received an announcement from MIRAI, the consortium of Japanese-Swedish universities, regarding the upcoming “MIRAI Research & Innovation Week“.
The MIRAI Research & Innovation (R&I) Week is an annual event, which aims to connect specialists and foster research collaboration between Sweden and Japan. This year’s R&I Week will be held in Fukuoka, Japan, from December 8 to 11.
As part of the event, MIRAI will host a number of “Thematic Deep Dive Sessions”, in which researchers from MIRAI member universities can propose and lead sessions centred on their own research interests. MIRAI is now inviting those interested to submit their proposals.
Sessions must be organised by at least two researchers from MIRAI member universities, with at least one from each country.
Potential applicants are asked to read the detailed guidelines on the MIRAI website, as well as the summary below.

・Format and Duration (30/60 mins)
・Short Description (150-200 words)
・Names and affiliations of organising researchers (at least one from each country)
・Any additional meriting factors (see website)
■Application Deadline: 23:59 (JST), Wednesday, 15 July, 2026
■Notification of Results: Early August, 2026
