EVP Ueki Attends G7 Legal Advisors Meeting

On April 29 and 30, 2026, Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki attended a meeting of G7 member nation legal advisors at Aix-Marseille University.

The event, which was co-sponsored by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and Aix-Marseille University, was primarily organized by Prof. Jean-François Marchi, Aix-Marseille University Vice President for International Relations.

EVP Ueki attended roundtable discussions on international law and exchanged opinions with legal advisors. Advisors of the G7 countries’ governments and researchers from the University of Strasbourg, Keio University, Tohoku University, the University of Milan, and the University of Tübingen also participated in these discussions, which reaffirmed that universities play an important role in connecting academic knowledge with policymaking in response to issues of international significance.
