From May 5 to 7, 2026, Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki attended ‘Deep Dialogues’, a discussion-focused event organized by the British Council. The event aimed at exploring how the internationalization of higher education should be reformed in the context of a rapidly evolving environment, as well as at building networks between university leaders and experts.
The event was attended by approximately 40 university leaders and government officials from the UK, East Asia, Europe, and Africa, who engaged in productive discussions on governance and leadership in an international context, women’s participation, responding to changes in student mobility and cross-border education, quality assurance in international education, the impact of geopolitical shifts, and the use of AI and digital technologies.
