
On February 14, India Institute of Technology Indore (hereinafter ‘IITI’)’s Dean of International Relations, Avinash Sonawane, paid a visit to Tohoku University and met with Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki and Vice President Masahiro Yamaguchi.
The representatives from Tohoku University and the delegation from IITI gave presentations on research at their respective institutions during the meeting, which served as an opportunity to promote education and research exchange. From Tohoku University, Prof. Satoshi Murata of the Graduate School of Engineering presented on the field of mechanical engineering. The IITI delegation presented an overview of their institution, as well as the research of each of its departments. Both sides also discussed their hopes for strengthening their partnership in the future.
The IITI delegation also visited multiple laboratories during their visit, deepening understanding of future areas of collaboration. It is expected that this visit will serve as an opportunity for both institutions to develop exchange.
