
On November 26, 2024, the president of the National Taipei Institute of Technology (Taipei Tech), Sea-fue Wang, visited Tohoku University and met with President Teiji Tominaga and Vice President Masahiro Yamaguchi.
President Tominaga opened the meeting, touching on the very first exchange between the Tohoku University and Taipei Tech in 2008, when the late Prof. An-Pang Tsai (Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials) gave a seminar at Taipei Tech at the invitation of President Wang. Joint symposiums and exchanges have continued ever since.
President Wang followed by expressing his hope to promote even more proactive research collaboration in the future. Prof. Ho-Chiao (Rick) Chuang, also in attendance, expressed his enthusiasm for promoting more student exchange.
During their time at Tohoku University, the Taipei Tech delegation also visited the Graduate School of Engineering and participated in a symposium at the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials.
