On April 12, the Tohoku University Taiwan Alumni Association General Meeting was held for the first time in a decade. The event took place at the Cosmos Hotel Taipei and approximately 40 alumni from Taiwan as well as Vietnam attended the event.
Vice President Tetsuya Nagasaka and other representatives from Tohoku University were present at the meeting. Following an address by the former chairperson of the association, Mr. Bang‑fu Hsu, VP Nagasaka provided an update on the latest developments from Tohoku University.
The meeting included an election for the new chairperson of the Taiwan Alumni Association. Mr. Justin Y. Chen was appointed as the new leader of the association. Chairman Chen expressed his commitment to fostering new avenues for alumni engagement, sparking great interest in future initiatives.
The participants engaged in enthusiastic discussions on prospective collaborations between Tohoku University and the Taiwan Alumni Association. The gathering concluded on a positive note, with the participants looking forward to future endeavors.
