東北大学とユニバーシティ・カレッジ・ロンドン（UCL）は、2022年度のマッチングファンド支援対象として7件の共同研究プロジェクトを採択しました。
このマッチングファンドは、本学とUCLの共同研究を促進・奨励するため両大学の合意に基づき設立されたもので、2019年6月に第一回目の支援対象プロジェクト募集が行われました。
第四回目の募集となった今回は12件の申請があり、両大学による合同審査の結果、材料科学、生命科学＋Covid-19、データ科学＋生命科学、災害科学＋平等・多様性・インクルージョン＋高齢化問題＋Covid-19、平等・多様性・インクルージョン＋Covid-19、Covid-19、データ科学＋災害科学の分野から各1件ずつプロジェクトが採択されました。いずれの採択プロジェクトも国連の持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）と関連する共同研究です。
採択された7件のプロジェクトには、2022年4月から最長1年間の活動を支援するための研究資金が交付されます。
