We held a welcome party for Tsai-san and Tsuru-san!

Hello! This time, the author is Gakuhari, a fourth-year undergraduate student (B4). Since this is my very first post, I’m extra excited about it 🔥

On April 22, we held a welcome party for Tsai-san and Tsuru-san!

With new members joining our laboratory, things have become even more lively—and we’re really happy about it!

Tsai-san is an international student from Taiwan. Since our desks are next to each other, we chat every day and even exchange snacks ♪♪ She is currently studying Japanese enthusiastically and always writes down the Japanese phrases she used that day in her notebook. On this day as well, she introduced herself in Japanese. Amazing!!! Her favorite phrases are「靴ひもを結びます」(“I tie my shoelaces”) and 「今日はぽかぽかだね」(“It’s nice and warm today”). Both of these were taught by Professor Gakuhari ✨

Tsuru-san is from Fukuoka and knows all the best places to visit there. If you’re planning a trip to Fukuoka, following Tsuru-san’s recommendations is definitely the way to go! He especially recommends an aquarium called Marine World Uminonakamichi, which makes me want to visit 🐡 Also, I’m a huge fan of Hakata Torimon, so I’m hoping he’ll bring some back when he visits home ✨

That’s all for now! I still think there’s plenty of room for improvement in my writing, so please look forward to future posts!

↑We all ate bento together. Nothing beats ginger pork (shogayaki) 🍖

↑After lunch, we had some intense Super Smash Bros. battles! The M1 and M2 seniors are way too competitive—they never go easy on us juniors 😆
