About the program

「New development of comprehensive internationalization centered on co-creative international collaborative learning and the creation of social value」

Program Overview

This program will provide all undergraduate students with an environment that enables them to acquire basic multicultural literacy and the necessary general skills to solve social issues through enrollment in co-creative ICL subjects (multicultural collaborative learning subjects within the program) in six interdisciplinary clusters that leverage our university’s strengths. By promoting internationalization of the curriculum through organically linking ICL with other international programs, we will create a virtuous cycle in which interaction between Japanese and international students improves international mobility and expands opportunities for international students to excel in Japan.

Moreover, we aim to foster collaborative creation among students with various cultural backgrounds and diverse stakeholders, confront social issues such as the low birthrate and aging society, resilience, and green transformation (GX), and create new social value.

Vision for Personal Growth

The foundation of our university’s educational goals is “to provide students with a rich set of skills and compassion, create individuals with the ability to undertake intellectual pursuits with a ‘scientific spirit’ towards human, social and natural phenomena, and foster people who will take leading and crucial roles that leverage their specialization in various fields and their global perspective.” In this program, we also aim to provide “individuals with multicultural literacy enabling collaboration with peers with diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives, the motivation to take up specific social issues, including ‘glocal’ problems, such as green transformation (GX), innovation in resilience and science/technology, and the goal of creating social value.”
