Assistant Professor Ho received the Tokin Science and Technology Award at the 36th Tokin Science and Technology Award Ceremony (2025), held at the Sendai International Hotel from 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4th. The awarded theme was “Development of Carbonate Mineralization Using Basic Industrial Waste.”
The Tokin Science and Technology Award is presented to young researchers at universities and other institutions in Miyagi Prefecture who have achieved outstanding results in the field of engineering. The award aims to encourage and support research, contributing to the development of science and technology in Miyagi Prefecture and Japan as a whole.
The award is comprehensively judged from multiple perspectives, focusing on the originality of the research, its potential for future development, and its industrial applicability. Applications were accepted in July of last year, and after two selection committee meetings, the winners were selected at a board meeting in February of this year.
