The Spinics Special Research Meeting was held on Thursday, October 30 and Friday, November 1 at the Reconstruction Memorial Galaxy Hall, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Ueda Campus, Iwate University, and from our laboratory, Ms. Akiyama (Size dependence of magnetic heating properties of hollow structured Fe3O4 nanoparticles with magnetic vortex structure), Mr. Tazawa (Micro magnetic field detection using YIG and microstrip line (size dependence of magnetic heating properties of hollow structured Fe3O4 nanoparticles with magnetic vortex structure), Mr. Tazawa (micro magnetic field detection by YIG and microstrip line sensor), and Mr. Masui (ferromagnetic resonance evaluation of magnetic nanoparticles and proteins in ultra-wide bandwidth) gave presentations (titles in parentheses). Mr. Tazawa and Mr. Masui made their debut at the conference, but they presented their presentations in a dignified and impressive manner. Mr. Akiyama received the “IEEE Magnetics Society Sendai/Sapporo Joint Chapter Student Presentation Award” (see the photo of the award ceremony). This is the third time that Mr. Akiyama has received this award, following the Magnetic Society of Japan Student Presentation Award (Sakurai Presentation Award) and the MSJ Best Paper Award. Congratulations! (Yabukami)
