On Saturday, September 27th, we held a barbecue party at the Hirose River beach (near Ushikoshi Bridge) to welcome Suraj (a student from Germany) and celebrate the fourth-year graduate school exam results. Even though it was late September, it was still hot, around 28°C. There were other groups gathered nearby, but perhaps because of the heat, none were cooking imoni yet. Fifteen participants devoured about 5kg of grilled meat, seafood, and vegetables. The male students certainly showed impressive appetites! We thank the students who handled shopping and preparations, especially event organizer Masui-kun.
