In Young researchers' ensemble project of Tohoku University, it is decided to distribute the research expenditure among collaborating research groups constituted in several research institutes for enhancing the linkage between researchers from different research institutes. This research expenditure is for the entire research area and assistance will be provided via linkage between research institutes, for academic research topics, for which further development is anticipated.
This year, trial for new research startups or new developments for broadening the scope of present research will be promoted. ‘First stage’ topics will be invited.
Proposals from young researchers will be encouraged; however, for taking part in the planning of a research group as a contributor, the status of a person will not be an obstacle as long as the criteria mentioned in the essential points are satisfied. Applications with new concepts or viewpoints (contents of research are obviously essential, but increased efficiency by making use of equipment from other laboratory is also an objective) are requested.
