ENDE2015 Organizing Committee hopes that ENDE2015 will promote friendships between students studying electromagnetic nondestructive testing and evaluation, and prepared several special events for students.
A pre-workshop meeting will be held in 20th in the afternoon at the Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University, that is located very close to Katahira Sakura Hall. Students are encouraged to come to Sendai either on 19 or 20th to join the meeting to introduce information about the their study, laboratory, university, and themselves.
Presentations covered by 'Student' registration will be automatically assigned to a special session named 'Student Session'. The session consists of short (within 3 min.) oral presentations and subsequent poster presentations. Those who will present their study in Student Session are requested to prepare a few slides overviewing the study and a poster. More detail of how to prepare the poster can be found here. The presentations will be evaluated by all attendee, and best presenters will be awarded at the closing ceremony.
A cost-effective accommodation, whose cost is 1/3-1/4 or that of ordinary hotels, is prepared for students. Since finding rooms during ENDE is quite difficult because of concerts by a quite popular Japanese music group, the local organizing committee would like to request the students to stay in the prepared accommodation. Since this cannot be reserved via the on-line system, the Student Events Executive Committee will contact those who registered as 'Student' individually to ask the date of arrival and departure, gender, special request, and so on. Please kindly understand that we need to submit the list of guests to the accommodation by the end of July. Basically group check-in is needed. If you come to Sendai on 20th, please come to the pre-workshop venue. If you will arrive on 19th, the Student Events Executive Committee will contact you with more specific information.
A farewell party will be held on 23rd in the evening after ENDE finishes with the closing ceremony. This is just for students, and no professor will attend so that student can really enjoy the party.
