Five professors of ROEC were ranked among the top 2% of the world's most highly-cited scientists according to the study by research group of Stanford University.

The research group analyzed scientists from 22 major field based on standardized citation metrics and listed about 160,000 as world's top 2% scientists.
The list contains 307 scientists from Tohoku University, including Prof. Nei Kato, Prof Taiichi Otsuji, Prof. Fumiyuki Adachi, Prof. Masataka Nakazawa, and Prof. Katsumi Iwatsuki from ROEC.
