Cold-leg piping

The cold-leg piping that returns to a reactor core from an intermediate heat exchanger is three-dimensionally structured with a contiguously connected triple elbow with a low curvature ratio. For this reason, the internal flow structure especially in the 2nd and 3rd elbows strongly depends on the flow field formed in the upstream, unlike the flow structure in a single elbow case.
As a first step, flow structure in single elbow must be clarified. Then we can go to next step, elucidation of flow structure in double elbow. After that we can investigate flow structure in triple elbow.

Experiment loop

We are using experimental loops that simulates a part of 1/15 cold-leg piping and 1/15 cold-leg piping.
