6月17日、メイ研では、現役メンバー、新しく加わったメンバー、そして卒業生が一堂に会する歓迎会が開催されました。親睦を深めながら、新たな出会いと再会を祝う温かなひとときとなりました。
会の始まりには、メイ先生より心のこもった歓迎の挨拶があり、研究室の新メンバーが紹介されました。今回新たに加わったのは、学部3年生の渡部さんと、台湾の国立台湾海洋大学（National Taiwan Ocean University: NTOU）から来日された訪問研究者の陳澤君（Che-Chun Chen）博士です。お二人の参加により、多様性に富んだメイ研コミュニティがさらに活気づくことが期待されます。

また、今回の歓迎会には、旧井上研究室（井上研）時代を含むメイ研の卒業生も参加してくださいました。参加されたのは、Christine Dwi Ariani Putri Wiyono博士（2021年修了）、Tanmoy Roy Tusher博士（2021年修了）、そしてSyarifah Hikmah Julinda Sari博士（2022年修了）です。卒業生の皆さまの参加により、研究室の歴史とつながりを感じる貴重な機会となりました。

会場は、人気のインド料理レストラン**「タージ2（Taj 2）」**でした。参加者はさまざまな料理を楽しみながら、テーブルを越えて会話を弾ませ、笑顔あふれる時間を過ごしました。新しい仲間との交流はもちろん、卒業生との再会もあり、研究室の結束と親しみを深める場となりました。
今回の歓迎会は、単なる食事会にとどまらず、新たなスタートを祝うとともに、メイ研の仲間を結び続ける絆を再確認する意義深い機会となりました。

Welcome Dinner: A warm gathering of new and familiar faces
On June 17, the MEI Laboratory held a Welcome Dinner that brought together current members, new arrivals, and alumni for an evening of fellowship and celebration.
The event began with a short but heartfelt message from Mei-sensei, who officially welcomed the laboratory’s newest members. Among those introduced were Watabe Itsuki (渡部 樹), a third-year undergraduate (B3) student, and Dr. Che-Chun Chen (陳澤君), a visiting scholar from the National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), Taiwan. Their arrival marks an exciting addition to the growing and diverse MEI Laboratory community.
Another highlight of the evening was the presence of several alumni from the MEI Laboratory, formerly known as Inoue Laboratory (井上研). Visiting to reconnect with their former laboratory members were Christine Dwi Ariani Putri Wiyono, Ph.D. (Class of 2021), Tanmoy Roy Tusher, Ph.D. (Class of 2021), and Syarifah Hikmah Julinda Sari, Ph.D. (Class of 2022). Their participation added a sense of continuity and reminded everyone of the lasting bonds formed within the laboratory.
The gathering was held at Taj 2, a well-known Indian restaurant. As guests enjoyed a variety of flavorful dishes, conversations flowed naturally across tables. The evening was filled with laughter, shared experiences, and opportunities to get to know one another better. From welcoming new members to reconnecting with alumni, the dinner fostered a strong sense of community and belonging.
More than just a meal, the Welcome Dinner served as a meaningful occasion to celebrate new beginnings while honoring the connections that continue to unite the MEI Laboratory family.
