On Sunday, July 14, Science Day was held at Tohoku University’s Kawauchi Campus, and we exhibited in the framework of the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering.
From our laboratory, we demonstrated “Let’s make an impulse current to make a one-yen coin fly” and “Let’s move a model with muscle electricity” and let visitors experience them. The event was a great success with visitors continuing to come throughout the day, and Mr. Suzuki, Mr. Mashiko, and Mr. Shinohara were very busy in charge of the event. It was impressive to see the visiting elementary school students’ eyes shining as they repeatedly sent one-yen coins flying up to the ceiling.
