Overview

The 14th Early Career Researchers Ensemble Workshop will be held with the aim of promoting and strengthening interdepartmental joint research, mainly by young researchers belonging to the university’s research institutes and centers.
Please feel free to join the workshop as an opportunity to make new colleagues or deepen your understanding of interdisciplinary research.

Objectives
  • Exchanges between departments and different fields through research presentations and audits
  • Appeal of your own research to researchers in a wide range of fields
  • Formation of application groups for young researcher ensemble grants currently being recruited
Target Audience
  • Researchers and graduate students who are interested in interactions among researchers and interdisciplinary research (participation from departments other than the Collaborating Research Institutes/Centers and from outside the university is also welcome!)

Matching session

Starting in FY2025, a new matching session will be introduced to facilitate the formation of new research groups for the Early-Career Researchers Ensemble Grant. This session will include optional poster presentations and free discussions. Light refreshments will be provided. Please include research keywords on your poster.

Additionally, a researcher search site will be launched in May 2025 to support the application process for new projects under the Early-Career Researchers Ensemble Grant.

Preliminary Screening for New Grant Projects

Researchers who present posters at the workshop and meet the eligibility criteria for the Early-Career Researchers Ensemble Grant may be considered for preliminary screening as principal investigators. For details, please refer to the Call for Proposals.

Time table
Guidelines
  • The workshop will be held in person only.

  • Participation is free of charge.

  • A lunch networking session will be held (optional; participation fee: Faculty/Staff: ¥2,000; Students: ¥500).

  • Poster numbers will be communicated to participants via email before the workshop.

  • The program may be subject to change depending on the number of poster presentations.

  • Poster presentations can be in any language; however, please be prepared to discuss your research in English if necessary.
