昨年度の宗教社会学者のホセ・カサノバ先生(ジョージタウン大学)に続き、本ゼミ教員のクリントン・ゴダール先生が2019年7月27日に、世界の多くの宗教学者・社会学者が集う東アジア宗教社会学会(East Asian Society for the Scientific Study of Religion, EASSSR)の学術大会で基調講演を行いました。ゴダール先生は「Religious Encounters with Evolutionary Theory in Modern Japan」という題目の下で、『Darwin, Dharma, and the Divine: Evolutionary Theory and Religion in Modern Japan』で示した持論を紹介し、さらに展開しました。ゴダール先生、お疲れ様です!
