Tohoku University and Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay concluded a university-level academic exchange agreement in 2020 through which they have maintained researcher and student exchange. During the meeting, members from both sides enthusiastically discussed deepening joint research and further strengthening their partnership. In particular, the members from Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay expressed strong interest in accepting increased numbers of Tohoku University students for exchange, as well as a desire to establish a more flexible system for doing so.<\/p>\n

Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited the Graduate School of Engineering\u2019s Smart Robots Design Lab where joint research has already produced results. After listening to a presentation on cutting-edge research in human-assist technologies including caregiving robots, they toured the laboratory itself. When students explained the functions of each robot, the guests enthusiastically asked questions, interacting with the robots directly. The tour fostered a friendly atmosphere for exchange from beginning to end.<\/p>\n

This visit is expected to further strengthen the partnership between the two universities and accelerate exchange in a variety of fields.<\/p>\n
