April 7: \u201cOhanami\u201d Gathering Held<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beneath the blooming cherry blossoms, members of the Mei-Laboratory gathered on April 7 for an \u201cOhanami\u201d (sakura viewing). \u201cOhanami\u201d is a traditional Japanese custom of appreciating the beauty of cherry blossoms while gathering with others, symbolizing the arrival of spring and a time for connection. The walk from the Aobayama laboratory to Kawauchi was refreshing in itself, accompanied by a cool spring breeze, the gentle sound of birds chirping, and the scenic view of pink and white sakura blossoms lining the path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event brought together both current and new members of the Mei-Lab, offering a meaningful opportunity to reconnect, meet one another, and begin the academic year in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The gathering opened with a warm message from Mei-sensei, who welcomed the new members and marked the beginning of a new and blossoming semester. Despite the cool weather, conversations flowed naturally as everyone enjoyed the seasonal surroundings, creating a gentle yet memorable start to the term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gathering also highlighted a strong sense of community, enriched by the diverse backgrounds of the lab members. Alongside sharing their own delicious meals, participants engaged in brief self-introductions and shared their \u201cMy News\u201d\u2014something new or memorable from the season. These moments sparked lively conversations and fostered deeper connections. From homemade dishes to favorite treats, the shared experience brought warmth to the occasion and strengthened the bonds within the lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
