Stimulated Raman-vacuum ultraviolet-photoionization spectroscopy (SR-VUV-PIS) is developed for size-selected neutral molecular clusters in a supersonic beam, providing a new method with a wide applicability for systems without low-lying electronic chromophores. The method is demonstrated by observations of the CH stretching vibrations of bare methanol and the cluster species.
